Keep the sticks and leaves

Whilst tidying the garden, you may accumulate piles of sticks and leaves. Don’t be hasty to clear these away, instead leave small piles in unused corners of the garden or woodland. Fauna such as hedgehogs are likely to utilise these piles in preparation for hibernation.
